Airstep has been servicing the domestic and commercial building industries for over 40 years. At Airstep, we have an extensive range of Australian made carpet underlays and hard flooring underlays manufactured from a variety of materials. We have a long and proud history supplying the highest quality foam and rubber underlays to local and international clients, from private residences to large-scale commercial projects. And best of all, 90% of our product is manufactured on site at our head office in Melbourne, Australia.
Our foam range of underlays are 100% recyclable and are produced with 90% recycled materials. We also recycle 98% of our own foam manufacturing waste, which greatly reduces our impact on the environment by avoiding unnecessary landfill and pollution. Airstep have implemented a recycling program – Recycle with Airstep – for carpet retailers or contractors. This free initiative sees old underlays and off-cuts sent to our manufacturing site in Melbourne where they are then sorted, sanitised and cleaned and produced into new foam underlays. Felt Underlay
A commercially rated underlay found in many high traffic areas around Australia. Great for pub and club type applications. Environmentally friendly product with base constituent ingredients essentially recycled textile fabric. A significant improvement on traditional hairfelt products of the past.

Airstep Acoustalay is designed to be an impact sound insulating underlay that is made from 100% recycled rubber. It is recommended for use with most common laminate and engineered timber floating floors.
